Why is exercise so important?

Friends, I dislike exercise for a long period..truly!!…..I did buy few exercise VCD , thought of exercising at home..I did exercise but only few times due to time constraint …I could not wake up very early in the morning and back from work, I felt so so tired and hungry…So, I gave up…(just some excuses, lol)

When I got married in June 2008, I realize that I had put on weight the most I had before!!! Never in my life…I put on weight bit by bit..Padahal, I don’t say that I eat a lot every day..sometimes only la…hahaha…but it just never decrease…Few months after married, I went to see a gynae doctor because my period quite irregular. That doc told me right on my face that I have to lose weight if I want to try to conceive (TTC). And tell me what should I eat and don’t. But you know la me, masuk kiri keluar kanan..I just could not accept that..From there, she diagnosed me that I could be affected by PCOS (Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome)..wow, what is that.. I never heard of it..ok, I just ignore that..anyway, she did not gave me any medication and tell me to lose weight naturally..I am still not get motivated yet…

One day, my ex-colleague introduced me to a doc in Normah. So, I make an appointment to see that gynae on 19 Sept 2009. On that day, she scanned using the transvaginal ultrasound scan to have a clearer view. It is confirmed that I have PCOS..chopp..what is PCOS again? Then, she gave me an information leaflet about PCOS. Then I know why my condition is in badly shape.  That is the reason why I have this weight gain drastically, hairy, pimples, irregular periods, hungry of all the time, not energetic especially in the mornings, hormone imbalance and the most worrying me is INFERTILITY…feel so down after that..
What is PCOS?  You can click on those links for more information.
20 Sept 2009, I registered myself at the Beautyworks Gym, 3rd Mile and weigh myself at 83kg. I went for the gym training and also aerobic sessions. While my husband was not in Kuching, I commit my evening hours at the gym from Monday to Thursday.  I eat less fat too.
I can tell you that I can lose weight thought not that much but I feel much, much better.  I have jotted down my weight loss journal. Can see my progress table as below:

From 20 Sept 2009 till 25 Feb 2010, I have achieved 10.5kg lose in 5 months!!  This is good news for me.  And my period comes regularly since I started to workout. Feeling so happy when people give me lots of compliments on how much I lose weight and looking fabulous. Tak rugi even though the gym package is quite expensive.  Hahaha…I still keep continue going to gym after Trey back to Kuching for good but not that often to gym. My weight increase again bit by bit but still not up to 80kgs yet. I hope I don’t.
Exercise is so important for PCOS women otherwise it will become more health risk such as diabetes, heart problem, high blood and so on. I still have to remind myself not to get into trouble.
But I can tell you that PCOS is so common among women. So, please don’t feel so down about that. Please do make lots of research if you do have PCOS.  ‘Google’ about it. Honestly, I have few friends who have PCOS too. So, I talk and share problems with them and they share theirs with me too.. So, you are not alone, friend.. J On top of all, everything is in God’s hand if you are in TTC process, friend.. Just that we have to improve ourselves first, getting ready before becoming pregnant. God knows how hard you have prayed, how hard you have tried, how hard you have worked for, and in His time, He will grant you the blessings that you don’t expect of. .. ;-) Amen!!
That gynae doc told me that I have follicular cysts surrounding the ovum on my left side ovary and feel relieved that my right side ovary is still in good condition and can produce egg (means can ovulate to conceive). She really advised me to lose weight and the good thing is she gave me the Metformin medication. That metformin actually is for diabetic patient but can also be used to treat PCOS.  ( I will talk about this  medication in the next post)…As time passes by… my weight getting increase and always getting irregular periods..and it keeps worrying me..Year 2009, Trey went to Bintulu for a project construction going on there..
